Booking and pricing

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free with no deposit and no obligation to book.

Why do you not publish prices?

Room count, fiber type, soil level and stain age change the work enough that a figure on a page would be wrong for most people reading it. We would rather give you an accurate number before starting than a low one that adjusts on the day.

How soon can you come out?

Same-day and next-day appointments are usually available. Water damage is prioritized ahead of scheduled cleaning, and the phone is answered around the clock for it.

Do you answer the phone at night?

Yes, 24 hours a day including weekends. That matters most for burst pipes, where waiting until morning changes whether carpet and pad can be saved.

Can you do more than one service in the same visit?

Usually yes. Carpet and upholstery together is the most common pairing. Tell us everything when you call so we schedule enough time.

How far do you travel?

Across Erie County, including Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, North East, Waterford, Edinboro and Girard.

How long does carpet take to dry?

Six to twelve hours for hot water extraction with air movers, and one to two hours for low-moisture encapsulation. Erie lake humidity extends both, and below-grade rooms are slowest.

What is the difference between steam cleaning and hot water extraction?

They are the same thing. Water is heated to 180 to 200 degrees, injected under pressure and immediately vacuumed back out. No actual steam touches the fiber, because true steam would damage most carpet backings.

How often should carpet be professionally cleaned?

Every six to twelve months for most Erie homes. Closer to six with pets, small children or a heavy-traffic entry that takes winter salt.

Do I need to move furniture first?

No. We move what needs moving and protect the legs with tabs or blocks. Tell us about heavy or fragile pieces when booking.

Will all stains come out?

No, and anyone promising that is overselling. Dye stains, bleach damage, sun fade and pad-saturated urine often will not fully resolve. We tell you which category yours falls into during the estimate.

Is it safe around kids and pets?

We use eco-friendly solutions and rinse them back out during extraction. Keep pets off until dry, mostly so they do not track soil onto clean carpet.

Can old pet stains be removed?

It depends how deep the urine travelled. Surface and backing-level responds well to enzyme treatment. Pad-saturated needs sub-surface extraction, and subfloor contamination often needs replacement.

Why does the smell come back on humid days?

Urine dries into crystals bonded to the carpet backing. They sit dormant when dry and reactivate when humidity rises, which in Erie happens often through the fall.

Why did a stain reappear days after cleaning?

That is wicking. Urine still in the pad travelled back up as the carpet dried. It means the treatment needed to go deeper, not that the clean failed.

Should I just replace the carpet?

Sometimes that is the honest answer. If the pad and subfloor are saturated across a large area and the carpet is near the end of its life, replacement is better value than repeat cleanings.

Fabrics

Upholstery and rugs

How do I find my fabric cleaning code?

Look under a seat cushion, along the deck, or on the underside of the frame. It shows W, S, WS or X. That letter decides whether water or solvent is safe.

Can you clean microfiber?

Yes, and it is one of the most common fabrics we handle. Most microfiber carries a code S or WS tag, and using water on a solvent-only piece leaves rings that are difficult to reverse.

Will my rug colours bleed?

That is exactly what we test for before starting. Hand-knotted rugs with natural dyes can migrate colour when wet, and if a rug fails the dye test we say so rather than proceeding and hoping.

Do you clean viscose rugs?

With caution and full disclosure. Viscose is sold as art silk or bamboo silk and yellows, stiffens and loses its sheen on contact with water.

Emergencies

Water damage

How quickly should I call after a leak?

Immediately. Clean water becomes contaminated after roughly 48 hours as bacteria multiply, and mold growth can begin within 24 to 48 hours of materials staying wet.

Will insurance cover it?

Sudden and accidental water damage is covered under most homeowner policies. Gradual leaks and outside flooding usually are not. Your carrier decides, so call them early.

Can I dry it myself with fans?

For a small clean-water spill caught immediately, sometimes. Beyond that, household fans move air but do not remove moisture from it, and the bigger risk is water inside wall cavities that looks dry on the surface.

Still have a question?

Call and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you book the wrong service.
